Hello Parents and Students,
May was okay, June ended too soon, and July just flew by! With only two weeks left before most of our teens return to school, it almost seems like the summer that never was.
Except, we did SO much this summer! We saw Noah at Sight and Sound in Pennsylvania. We raced kayaks, paddleboards, and . . . didn't fish. The Aspens (7-9th grades) are just finishing up a basic theology class, and the Oaks (10-12) now completely understand everything there is to know about Daniel and Revelation end time-prophecy. That last one may not hold up to scrutiny . . . but we tried!
As we approach the end of the summer we start thinking about school, Prayer Partners, and the coming year. That's why our Final Friday in August is our Family Cookout! It's the ONLY Final Friday where the whole family is invited! We will be meeting at Van Dyck Park and providing hamburgers and hot dogs. Speaking of Prayer Partners, this is your last chance to sign up. We will be assigning all the teens an adult by August 18th! Please ask your teen if they've signed up! We would hate to let anyone miss the chance to be the focus of prayer for the coming year.
Adults, we ask you to commit to praying once a week and reaching out at least once during the school year. But we’re praying for more than that; we hope many of these relationships will grow into something deeper and lasting, even becoming a source of real discipleship.
Parents of teens, we especially encourage you to prayerfully consider signing up to pray for another parent's teen!

August 29: Final Friday Family Cookout: Your teen's entire family is invited and encouraged to attend our fun-filled annual update. We'll be meeting at Van Dyck Park in Fairfax, grilling hamburgers and hot dogs, and playing some super mega volleyball! Sign up here
