CGYG Monthly Newsletter

Hello Parents and students,

Spring Breaks are over and that means a final scholastic stretch until summer. We've had a great week of laser tag, hiking, and a night at the movies.

As for teaching, we are deep in the book of 1 Timothy as we lead the students through, using LFIBS (large format inductive Bible study), and it's impressive watching your young men and women pull meaningful observations and interpretations from scripture.

Our Sunday lessons are in the middle of Old Testament Survey for grades 10-12 and Jesus' ministry as seen through the book of Matthew for grades 7-9.

This month's Final Friday is on a Saturday! We'll be doing a service project at the church. See more info in our coming activities section below.

Finally, our Ethiopia missions team was introduced to the church on March 24th! We've been meeting monthly and have some big fundraising events coming, including, selling donuts and pizza on the final Sunday of the month, and a giant craft fair at The City Gates Church on May 11. If you have any questions or want to help, please reach out and let us know. But please be praying for our team. We want to be a blessing to the Ayeles and their ministry in Hawassa!

Coming Activities:

Final Friday on Saturday!: April 27, 3:00-7:00pm is a CGYG Service project! We'll be working at the church and focusing on the youth room and shed. This is a great opportunity for the teens to give back and take ownership for a space they use so regularly.

Week of Summer Fun: Mark your calendars. Summer will be here before you know it and we'll be celebrating with a week of activities from June 17-21.

As always . . .

Please keep praying for our young men and women!
